My 14 year military journey profoundly shaped my creative voice. As the son and grandson of pastors, each piece is a conversation between experience, the visceral and the spiritual. The bold colors that define my work are not mere aesthetics; they are the embodiment of emotion and energy. I explore themes of resilience, identity, and the connection between the seen and the unseen. My work invites contemplation, drawing from the materials and symbols, while echoing the construction and deconstruction inherent in both art and life. My process creates voids for dialogue and connection. It is a ritual of healing, understanding and constant curiosity. My hope is that in my art, others will see a reflection of their own stories and experiences. I strive to capture the essence of what it means to be human—complex, colorful, and full of meaning.
